Understand...I was especially intrigued by this bit:<br />Understanding this sooner would have helped me with biblical descriptions of God's "wrath." I can only get a glimmer of what God's wrath looks like when I divest the word of the human implications of self-centered, reactionary anger, and condition it with the unchanging goodness that must clarify all of God's attributes. Or take the word "Father." The claim that God is our heavenly "Father" can ultimately mean something wonderful, even to my friends who had terrible human dads, because the word is not used univocally when it's applied to God.Dreaming in the Clearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17094576060731655734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3165463332200678857.post-50436112142183140152012-07-09T22:39:24.283-05:002012-07-09T22:39:24.283-05:001. Social media can prompt some examination that wouldn't happen otherwise- about one's public persona and personal identity, for instance, though it may just be a superficial examination. Also, forced concision can be a good tool for thinking about what really needs to be said (hence the power of a good soundbite), though again this is no guarantee that a person won't just string together many shallow, thoughtless posts/updates instead.Liz Comptonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14794343826659644118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3165463332200678857.post-7346273524885455272012-06-17T20:54:56.415-05:002012-06-17T20:54:56.415-05:00I'm trying to find it again, but of course tha...I'm trying to find it again, but of course that's the only one I don't have an electronic copy of, so the search goes ill . . . : ( I think it's right around the line where he says, "I am the man who owns Vorkosogan Vashnoi!"The Moon in Autumnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00746463775107732805noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3165463332200678857.post-16248529932383150552012-06-14T09:21:59.642-05:002012-06-14T09:21:59.642-05:00I don't remember, can you refresh my memory?I don't remember, can you refresh my memory?Karinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06292325597025077725noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3165463332200678857.post-69716213348627588772012-03-23T21:58:42.026-05:002012-03-23T21:58:42.026-05:00Yes, indeed!
