My New Year's Resolution Is to NOT Accidentally Set Off the Fire Alarm

This is the fire alarm in my bedroom. Handy! Easily accessible in case of emergency! One problem! 

It is here, right next to the light switch in the bedroom. 

So if you are half conscious and fumbling for the light switch in the dark, say, with hands that are bad at feeling things, there is a 50-50 chance! 

I'll sure do my best! 

And now I understand why the paperwork about the building tells us to ignore the fire alarm if we hear it and just hang out until we actually smell smoke or they make an announcement over the PA system. Oh, Canada.
